HOW DID USS SARATOGA SINK A JAPANESE CARRIER IN 1942? #shorts #history

In August 1942, during the Battle of the Eastern Solomons, the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga made a bold move. Her planes attacked and sank the Japanese carrier Ryūho with bombs and a torpedo, taking out 120 enemy crew. Later, Japanese bombers hit back, damaging another Allied ship, but Saratoga stayed safe and struck again, hitting a Japanese seaplane tender. A week later, a Japanese submarine torpedoed Saratoga, stopping her engines and injuring sailors. Towed to safety, she was repaired quickly and returned to fight at Pearl Harbor. #worldwar2 #ww2 #battle
