The "Heart Mantra" of the Perfection of Wisdom Sutra relieves the suffering of all beings in the six realms. Avalokiteshvara, in the Sutra, proclaimed how it is the “unequaled mantra". In what way is it unequaled? In relieving suffering:
“Therefore, the mantra of the perfection of wisdom, the mantra of great knowledge; the unsurpassed mantra, the mantra equal to the unequaled, the mantra that thoroughly pacifies all suffering, should be known as truth since it is not false.” -- Avalokiteshvara (Guanyin, Kannon, Chenrezig) in Heart Sutra Prajñāpāramitāhṛdaya

The "Unequaled" or "Supreme" Mantra in the Heart Sutra — is recited around the world for protection and removal of negative karma. It contains the essence of the Heart Sutra, which in turn contains the essence of all Sutras.

We begin the chanting with the Namo praise to the supreme Heart Sutra:
Oṁ! Namo Bhagavatyai Ārya-Prajñāpāramitāyai!
Which translates as:
I Prostrate in Reverence to the Fortunate and Noble Perfection of Wisdom

We then chant the mantra in Sanskrit is gate gate pāragate pārasaṃgate bodhi svāhā
गते गते पारगते पारसंगते बोधि स्वाहा
This is often translated as "gone, gone, everyone gone to the other shore, awakening, svaha.” The other shore is “Enlightenment” so the mantra translation has numerous layers of profound meaning.
It is described in the Heart Sutra as the Maha Vidya, the Great Wisdom. “Maha” means “great” and “Vidya” translates as “knowledge” or “science” or “wisdom” The mantra itself more ore less translates as:
-Gate means gone.
-Paragate signifies gone to the further shore and is a traditional Sanskrit expression used by Buddhists and Jains to refer to arahants. (The word para signifies the bank of a river opposite to the one on which one is presently standing.
-Parasamgate signifies completely gone to the further shore. (The syllable sam means: altogether, thoroughly, or completely.)
-Bodhi is a feminine noun that signifies awakening, knowledge and enlightenment.
-The syllable Svaha is multilayered, but basically, it’s saying “let it be so” or “may it be so” or more literally “thus, it is.”
