Peace Mandala

Did you know that mandalas can be used to help you stay centered during these challenging times?
Mandalas are sacred pieces of artwork which are used to evoke healing, spiritual development and meditation. A mandala is a circular symbolic design used in Hindu and Buddhist cultures. The name comes from Sanskrit and means ‘sacred circle’. It’s believed they represent the relationship between us and the universe, and are often used to assist in meditation and prayer. Creating a Mandala helps you enjoy a sense of calm and inner peace. As it encourages you to be totally present in what you are doing, it helps ease anxiety as well as helping you to concentrate. Creating a mandala helps you to connect with your true self, to what’s most meaningful, and ultimately to assist you in designing a life that reflects just that. Mandalas are very temporary art forms, reminding us of the impermanence of life. We create as much balance, beauty and harmony as we can and then let it go.

A WORLD PEACE MANDALA can be created anywhere from local grains, seeds and legumes, flowers, shells pebbles, whatever you have to hand -they are all blessed with our positive intentions.
Using mantras and prayer while we create our mandala can enhance our ability to nurture and heal ourselves as well as healing each other, and the earth.
