Russia practices destroying enemy carriers in Pacific drills sending U.S. alarm bells ringing
Russian military showed on Tuesday (June 22) the joint exercises of its aviation and navy in the Pacific ocean.
According to the information provided by the defence ministry, the army rehearsed coordinated actions against a naval group.
Five warships, one submarine, and supporting aviation, including Tu-142mz long-range anti-submarine aircraft, took part in the exercises, defence ministry said. In particular the missile cruiser "Varyag", the frigate "Marshal Shaposhnikov" as well as other military and support vessels.
