Dynamic Analysis for High Speed Two(HS2) by Pere Alfaras from ARCADIS UK
High speed trains impose significant dynamic actions to bridges and viaducts. For speeds above 220 km/h the effect of resonance must be considered, since in many cases can be the governing factor when deciding the structural form. Under certain a time history analysis is required for trains passing at different speeds. Key parameters such as deck stiffness and mass, damping, natural frequencies and time and space discretization must be carefully considered.
This webinar will be very informative for the engineers who have any interest in assessing bridge dynamic behaviour, performing time history analysis for moving loads and Eurocode requirements for high-speed train loading.
