Andhra Pradesh IPS Officer gets EMOTIONAL during farewell to Belgian malinois Dog Shadow

The officer SHADOW dog of Belgium Malinois race served in the dog squad (sniper ) unit, Prakasam District Police developed sudden health complication of Hypothermia (High Fever) and died on 26.10.19. The shadow underwent practical training for a period of 8 months from 10.08.18 to 14.5.19 in the 18th batch of canine and canine handler course at I.S.W. Mangalagiri of A.P. As the dog performed excellent skills in training schedule, it won the GOLD MEDAL awarded by the Hon’ble DGP AP. Even within the short tenure of its allotment to Prakasam District, the dog exhibited meritorious services and remained as cause in detection/nabbing the accused persons in as many as 8 theft cases and in recovery of 30 Lakhs of property. The Shadow also played a pivotal role in detection of a sensational couple murder case of Darsi. It also exhibited its exemplary services in SWAT TEAM launching Programme of Prakasam District in identifying the accused terrorists and nabbing them and won the hearts of scores of people across the state and other parts of the country for its dedicated services. #PrakasamPolice #IPS #AndhraPradesh
