Click Automation Tool for Unity UI (WIP) — Node-Based UI Test Automation

I’m building a Click Automation Tool (WIP) — a node-based visual scripting system to automate Unity UI interactions inside the Editor.

Core workflow

Create sequences in the Graph Editor from the Unity menu: Tools, Click Automation, Graph Editor

Run in Play Mode (it auto-creates an AutomationRunner if the scene doesn’t have one)

Save and reuse flows as AutomationGraph assets across scenes

UI Action nodes

Start

Click (single or double)

Swipe (start, end, duration, return swipe)

Hold (press and hold)

Wait

Logic and control

Loop Node (repeat a set of UI actions)

Parallel Node (run multiple UI branches at the same time)

Advanced features

Coordinate Picker (eye-dropper) for Game View and Unity Device Simulator

Live node highlight during execution

On-screen markers for click points and swipe paths

Single-node testing (play button per node)

Group nodes to keep graphs organized

Tech
Built on Unity’s New Input System using InputState.Change so UI behaves like real touch or mouse input.

Pro Tip
Use Return Swipe to automate scrolling menus up and down easily.
