That’s right — James Gunn just revealed that Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool was almost featured in Peacemaker Season 2! According to Gunn, one of the portals in the Quantum Unfolding Chamber was originally going to open… and show Deadpool just sitting in a room! 😂

Even crazier — Gunn actually talked to Ryan Reynolds, and he was on board! But the plan was dropped because of Marvel–DC legal restrictions. Gunn even joked:

“He wanted to do it — but that’s all anyone would talk about now — Deadpool in the other room.”

Imagine the chaos — the Merc With a Mouth trading jokes with Vigilante or mocking Peacemaker’s helmets. It could’ve been the first-ever live-action Marvel x DC crossover! ⚔️

But here’s the best part — Gunn is still good friends with Kevin Feige, and he’s already teased that a Marvel–DC crossover could happen someday. So maybe… this wasn’t the last time that portal almost opened. 👀
