Ferrari F430 GTC/GT2: Warm Up, Accelerations, Crackles & V8 Sound In Action!

Here's a big compilation about the Ferrari F430 GTC I recorded during various events in recent years. It was developed in collaboration with long-time partner Michelotto and unveiled in 2006 in order to be raced in the GT2 class of international endurance competitions such as in the American Le Mans Series, Le Mans Series, and FIA GT Championship (the old GT2 class is the one that has been replaced by the current GTE class for WEC or GTLM for IMSA, not the new 2021 GT2 series by SRO).

The F430 GTC used a downsized 4.0-liter version of their, at that time new, V8 in order to comply with FIA rules. In fact in FIA GT2 class the cars were forced to run with a specific minimum weight and with engine's restricts depending on engine displacement. Ferrari destroked the street-legal 4.3-litre V8 engine to 4.0 in order to compete in the 3.8–4.0-litre division of the GT2 class (and which allowed a minimum weight of 1,100 kg). I'm not 100% sure about this but the car was subject to a couple of evolutions during the years, in particular in 2008 and 2010, with the addition of little front flaps, different rear and front bumper, plus other mechanical upgrades. Due to the presence of intake restrictors, the V8 produces around 450hp at 6,750 rpm.
