Found this gem of a hotel in Fremont street, at the time, it was priced at 21 dollar a night with no resort fee. (the lowest I've seen was $17!!) When I got there my room was not ready so they upgraded me to their "suite", which is a another building across the street. I think the room is well appointed but the lime green wall paper is absolute disaster. Unless you are making green screen porno, in that case you'll love the convenience. The staff are very friendly, much nicer than the ones on the stripe. On strip if you are not a whale you are no body, out in a smaller casino they actually enjoy costumer service. It's a very local feeling, the kind of las vegas you remembered from the old days. Cheap drinks, cheap food, no frills. I stayed there for like a week. Would have stayed longer if I didn't have to go back to work. Downside is that the suites are not in the same building, it's not much a view and far from the action, but totally worth it if you in Vegas on a budget.

Slots, table games and a race and sports book occupy one floor of the main pavilion. It is one of the oldest casino-hotel properties in Las Vegas having continuously operated at the same Fremont Street location since 1941. Primarily Spanish Colonial Revival in style, it reflects a 1952 remodel when the facade was modernized. On February 22, 2013, the structure was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The gambling and entertainment industry in Las Vegas is mostly focused in the Las Vegas Strip. The Strip is not actually located in city limits, but instead in the surrounding unincorporated communities of Paradise and Winchester. The largest and most notable casinos and buildings are located there.
