Her bizarre dream began when one of her dumplings came to life. She missed her son so much that the Bao she was about to eat suddenly turned into a form of her son. This is because the shape of her son’s face looked very similar to a Bao. And that strengthened her hallucinations even more that she didn’t realize the talking Bao she interacted with was all just a dream.
