Groove for the Silk Road with YangQin voice - Romesh Arya Chakravarti

A new recording of Groove for the Silk Road playing the "Yangchin" voice of Dr Rom's Truth Machine (DRTM). This is voice 281 on the Yamaha E 403 keyboard that has been adapted to make DRTM.

The YangChin or YangQin is a classical Chinese dulcimer. They used to be made of silk strings struck with a rubber-tipped bamboo stick. Nowadays they are made using metal strings and modern workmanship. Wikipedia says that they were exported from China to South-East Asia ("IndoChina") - to Cambodia, Laos and Thailand. There is a theory that they were introduced to China from Iran (Persia) in ancient times - along the Silk Road.
