Aram from Echo Imaging Solutions explains the cardiac structures that we visualize in the parasternal short axis imaging plane. Visualizing the three aortic valve leaflets is one of the first objectives of this image as we want to rule out bicuspid aortic valve. Recognizing tricuspid regurgitation for RVSP, viewing the pulmonic valve, observing bi-ventricular function and wall motion, and observing septal motion are some of the things discussed.
