The blessing of Down syndrome (My Perfect Family: Taonga)
The Peita Boys: Dallas, Grayson and Taonga keep mum, Miranda’s, hands full. Miranda juggles home life while also working as the Special Education Needs Coordinator at local Kamo High School. All three of her boys are under the age of eight, and Taonga - the youngest - was born with the extra challenges that come with Down Syndrome. But with the whānau’s emphasis on whanaungatanga, Taonga is seen as a gift - and keeps up with his high-energy older brothers.
