One-week construction time-lapse with closeups: Week 42 of the Ⓢ-series

Week 42 in the ongoing Ⓢ series, which follows the construction of a new 13-story senior living building in San Francisco. This is a #construction #timelapse with various closeups and "sub-time-lapses" at various speeds, condensing the week of November 16 - 21, 2020, into about 51 minutes.

This week we see a fair amount of sprinkler work. Interestingly, the sprinkler work is actually a little difficult to catch, because for unknown (to me) reasons they seem to pop up, do a little bit of work, and then disappear to elsewhere for a while. Popping in and out every now and then for a few minutes at a time, over and over, sometimes spanning days, before any given area is completely finished. They don't do a whole section all the way through in one go, so I never know when they're going to appear and do a little bit of work on any given area, which makes it difficult to know where to aim cameras.

There's plumbing work. There's ironworkers up on the roof level (which will be the highest point of the building). There's a truck that got in, but that apparently can't get out of the alley unless they take down part of the pedestrian walkway. Usually the trucks back out, because the street above in the rear has fewer obstacles and no divider, so I don't know why this truck couldn't do that. On Saturday the lift is extended farther up.

We get a little more rain this week, but unfortunately it is the last rain for a while, so it is looking like it might be yet another drought year unless a lot of rain happens later in the season. (80% of San Francisco's rainfall usually happens in the five months of November through March.) There are some nice clouds again this week.

And there's a brief appearance by one of the neighborhood "characters". (I actually have much more footage of him wandering around doing weird and unexplained things, but left most of that out.)
