Confession means agreeing with God about our sin — seeing it the way He sees it. It’s not about hiding or minimizing, but humbly admitting it before Him.
• “…He is faithful and just…”
God’s forgiveness isn’t uncertain or conditional. His faithfulness guarantees His response; His justice ensures that forgiveness is not cheap but paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ.
• “…will forgive us our sins…”
Forgiveness means our debt is erased. God doesn’t hold our past against us.
This is deeper than forgiveness. God doesn’t just wipe away the record of sin; He cleanses our hearts, making us new, whole, and able to walk in righteousness again.
