Mumbai reports first death due to Delta plus COVID variant, 63-yr-old fully vaccinated woman dies

A 63-year-old woman with a lung disease but fully vaccinated is the first fatality linked to Covid’s Delta Plus variant in Mumbai. The woman died of Delta complications in July, which was confirmed by genome sequencing.
