Hotel Akumal Caribe / Lol Ha Restaurant

Since the Riviera Maya started reopening following the COVID-19 shutdown, Linda and I have been trying to do what we can to help local businesses get the word out that they’re open and to show people outside of Mexico what to expect if they choose to visit in the near future.

This video is about a family-owned, boutique hotel called Hotel Akumal Caribe and their restaurant, Lol-Ha. This place has a rich history dating back to the 80’s.

Lol Ha is like our Cheers. It has been our regular hangout since we moved to the area five years ago and we were even visiting it as tourists each time we traveled to the area for 10 years before that. In fact, if you go there enough, there’s a strong chance that you’re going to run into us at some point.
