TRUE STORY of WWII: the Nazis Were Terrified of These Women

This is the amazing true story of the Night Witches!

While women were initially barred from combat positions in the USSR at the start of World War II, Marina Raskova eventually received permission to form a female-only regiment from Joseph Stalin in 1942. The women of the 588th Night Bomber Regiment would go on to distinguish themselves in the fight against the Nazis. They primarily flew harassment missions, bombing the German camps at night to degrade the enemy’s combat effectiveness. Pilots often flew eight or more sorties per night, and after dropping their bombs, they could be subjected to intense enemy fire. Twenty three members would be awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
