"Raza, el espíritu de Franco" (1977), construida a modo de “divertimento”, tiene tres protagonistas principales: fragmentos de la película “Raza” de 1942 - rebautizada en 1950 como “El espíritu de una Raza”-, que se alternan con intervenciones de Pilar Franco - la última superviviente de los hermanos Franco Bahamonde-, y de Alfredo Mayo, como actor protagonista y “alter ego” de las fantasías narrativas del autor.
A partir de la película original, de la que fue autor indiscutible Francisco Franco Bahamonde, en la que se cuenta la trayectoria de la familia Churruca, se irán descubriendo las semejanzas y divergencias entre esta familia y la propia familia de Franco.
Una contraposición llena de singulares sugerencias sobre su personalidad, el proceso de sublimación y desplazamiento que tiene como punto de partida la novela original de Franco en que está basada la película “Raza”.

"Race, the spirit of Franco" (1977), built as a "fun", has three main characters: fragments of the movie "Raza" of 1942 - renamed in 1950 as "The spirit of a race" -, Alternating with interventions by Pilar Franco - the last survivor of the Franco Bahamonde brothers - and Alfredo Mayo as protagonist and alter ego of the narrative fantasies of the author.
From the original film, which was author Francisco Franco Bahamonde undisputed, which tells the story of the family Churruca, will discover the similarities and divergences between this family and Franco's own family.
A contrast full of unique suggestions about his personality, the process of sublimation and displacement that has as a starting point the original novel of Franco on which is based the film "Race."
