In this video we learn about who St George is and how St. George's Day is celebrated. When we think of Saint George we often think of a heroic knight who slayed a dragon! There are many misconceptions about the patron saint of England! For example, Saint George was not English! He was born in what is thought of today as modern day Turkey, during the 3rd century! Despite being depicted as a knight, he was most likely an army officer for the Roman army.
