Paiute Deadfall & Indigenous Taiwanese Deadfall Trap Comparison

In this video I compare the popular Paiute deadfall trap to the Indigenous Taiwanese "Dangan" deadfall trap. I took some time to test the sensitivity of the triggers at the most sensitive possible point and found both can bet set to trigger by having just a 0.24g stick dropped on them.

If you want to check out how to make and set the Indigenous Deadfall Trap check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oljxKKZfRlA&t=2s
Or, take a look at some of the videos in this playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLa7fGThqnS_WaPkG-dz4gvw25XeLG2w1c

Now that I'm finished with summer school I'll hopefully be able to make a few more videos with better production quality than previously.

Here's the list of pros and cons I came up with:

Paiute:
+ Less Material
+ Easy Setup
+ Very Sensitive
+ Horizontally Adjustable
+ Omnidirectional Trigger
- Other Parts can Trigger the Trap
- Smooth Rocks are Harder to Set up with
- Hard to Adjust Rock Height
- A Little Bit of Intricate Carving

Dangan:
+ Easily Adjustable Sensitivity
+ Easily Adjustable Rock Height
+ Can be Very Sensitive
+ Usually only Triggered by Touching Trigger
+ Easy, Safe Setup
- More Material
- More Specific Material
- Trigger Mostly Unidirectional
- Requires Penetrable Ground
