In a small town run by a cult that resides within an endless void, Topo is obsessed with finding meaning in life. While sitting in the town's diner one day, a man in a mangey gold monkey costume slaps him in the face with Albert Camus’ Myth of Sisyphus and steals his favourite jar of marmalade. The chase goes on through the annual flower festival run by the cult, an alley where he runs into the self- proclaimed 'happiest man on earth', and finally down the rabbit hole behind the temple where Topo discovers the people of the town are being turned into fertilizer. Topo has a revelation to accept the absurdity of life and live in the moment.
