Cops tackle a sexual predator to the ground after he assaults one of the police officers. Cops arrest the sexual predator that targeted innocent juveniles. Elsewhere, cops and animal control respond to a vicious dog call. Two dangerous pitbulls are on the loose and one has killed a neighbours cat. A mother calls the cops after he son goes missing. A whole neighbourhood come together to find the missing child and reunite mother and son.

Real-life officers are followed by a camera crew, cinéma-vérité style, in a gritty up-close look at police work and the consequences of crime. It spawned a number of police-reality imitators.
