Routes to climb Carrauntoohil
Climb Carrauntoohil Ireland's highest mountain with Pat Falvey and his experienced team and discover the beautiful McGillicuddy Reeks situated in County Kerry. Carrauntoohil is Ireland’s highest peak and situated 15 Km from Killarney. It attracts thousands of climbers and walkers each year. Carrauntoohil is a bucket list for people who wants to climb Ireland's highest Mountain.
The hight of Carrauntoohil is 1,039m or 3407 feet. The distance travelled on the standard day’s walk is 12km, as this equates to 22,500 steps and results in an average 4000 calorie burn! Allow 6+8 hours trekking to ascent and descent.
Fitness Level:
While strenuous and reasonably demanding, Carrauntoohil is achievable by people who lead a moderately active life and take part in regular exercise (see video for more information or go to https://patfalvey.com/product/climb-carrauntoohil/ )

We offer a wide range of route options including; The Devils Ladder, The ZigZags, Brother O’Shea’s Gully, Carrauntoohil Horse Shoe to name a few.
Also, we specialise in guiding groups on the mountain. Many of our clients choose to climb with family and friends, in order to share their achievement and memories. Similarly, we love bringing Charity and Corporate groups to the summit.

Pat Falvey is a world-renowned adventurer he was an active member of Kerry Mountain Rescue for ten years where he learnt his mountain skills. Pat has lived locally at the base of Irelands highest mountains from where he runs his guiding services since 1991. Carrauntoohil has always had a special place in his heart and was also the training ground for all of his major expeditions.
