Partnering with Tech to Support Refugees | David Miliband | Talks at Google

David Miliband is the President and CEO of the International Rescue Committee (IRC), where he oversees the agency’s humanitarian relief operations in more than 40 war-affected countries, and its refugee resettlement and assistance programs in 28 United States cities.

David shares an update on IRC’s broader advocacy work, relief and development operations, as well as its refugee resettlement and assistance programs throughout the US. Google.org and Googlers have supported IRC’s work, most recently collaborating with IRC to co-develop the Refugee InfoHub, a web platform to provide refugees with trustworthy humanitarian information. Since its inception in 2015, InfoHub has expanded to 7 countries, and supported 600,000 refugees.
