Extinction Rebellion NYC/School Strike 4 Climate
On March 15, 2019, #SchoolStrike4Climate took place in
125 countries with 2083 actions. An estimated 1.4 million people attended. According to @350 “Biggest day of global climate action ever.”
In NYC Extinction Rebellion joined with an act of civil disobedience that blocked Manhattan rush hour traffic for an hour. Extinction Rebellion has gathered fierce momentum globally since its founding in October 2018, in the UK. It is an international movement that is using nonviolent resistance and are demanding from the world’s governments real solutions to the climate crisis.
