Student Fraud Relief: Trailer

Visit https://www.studentfraudrelief.org/ for more resources on how to apply to get your loans forgiven through the US Department of Education's Borrower Defense to Repayment program.

In 2015, Department of Justice found that Corinthian College Inc, the company that owned Everest, WyoTech, and Heald colleges, had routinely lied to their students in order to drive up enrollment rates. For this reason, the US DoE offers federal debt relief for former Corinthian students through a process known as “Borrower Defense to Repayment.” Defense to Repayment is a government program that allows student who were defrauded at their school to apply for federal loans forgiveness.

Public Counsel, the largest pro bono law firm in the nation, partnered with the New Media Advocacy Project on this series of videos that help former Corinthian students navigate the complicated process of applying for federal debt relief.
