Breaking my WOO record 25,2M - XR6 BIG AIR TESTING

Classic autumn kiteboarding in the Netherlands.

XR6 review:
Overall I'm really impressed. They managed to nail almost all characteristics of a good kite. Compared to the other big boosting kites like the duotone rebel its a bit more allround/forgiving.

Main differences:
- Less hangtime on the way down. The duotone rebel, Cabrinha switchblade and ozone edge all have a way more floaty down loop meaning landings are a bit more uncontrolled and soft. If you anticipate this landing it's completely fine and sometimes even better since 3 down loops on other kites can be difficult as well.
- Compared to the duotone rebel it has a bit more bar pressure which takes some getting used to. In my opinion, it's not too much but I like kites with less bar pressure.
- Kiteloops are a bit less aggressive than most big air kites and the steering is more suitable for wave riding and it drifts downwind a bit better.
- Jumps are more aggressive, don't pull you up for as long and less floaty on the way up. It's more like a rocket compared to a duotone rebel which doesn't pull as aggressive and fast but slow and longer.
- The XR6 is more stable and forgiving than other big air kites. It won't fall out of the sky as fast as other high aspect kites with a small leading edge.

My opinion
I personally still enjoy the rebel more due to the hangtime, super floaty downloops, and more aggressive/faster kiteloops. However, if you are still learning more basic skills this is probably the better option.
