Arkansas is the hidden gem of the Southern United States for great motorcycle rides and destinations. Today we're riding the "Gateway Gap and Rock n Roll Highway" motorcycle ride route in the Arkansas Motorcycling Guide, taking us through Northeast and North Central Arkansas. This area goes from the flatlands of the Delta to the rolling green hills of the Ozarks, with a few fun stops along the way!
- The Rock N Roll Highway: a 111-mile stretch of roadway along US Highway 67 that was once a popular route for musicians. Names like Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, and Conway Twitty have all played at numerous nightclubs along the route.
- Batesville: The second oldest town in Arkansas. We stop for lunch at the River, formerly known as Josies. It's a popular motorcycle destination to grab food, due to its location along the White River!
- Mammoth Spring: one of the largest springs in the world. Over 9 Million gallons of water flow from this spring every hour, at a constant 58 degrees Fahrenheit! The state park is free to enter, and you can swim nearby in the headwaters of the Spring River.
- The Spring Dipper: Ride Motorcycles, Eat Ice Cream. This little ice cream shop in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas has been making its own ice cream for 18+ years!
- Walnut Ridge: A town along the Rock n Roll Highway. It's home to the Guitar Walk and Beatles Park, commemorating the only place the legendary Beatles stopped in the State of Arkansas.
