Wooden Watches | Forth Anniversary Special Edition
To celebrate my Fourth Anniversary of woodworking, it only felt right to give something back to those who have supported me throughout my woodworking career.
The wood in red is Native Sheoak (possibly casuarina) and the wood in white is an unknown species since I picked it up from the street. Special thanks to my design and tech teacher for giving me the native sheoak to work with. Coincidentally, this is the fourth and fifth watches I am making, which suits the theme "Fourth anniversary"
All hardware used was from TaoBao.
Watch movement: miyota 2035
Watch hands: package deal along with watch movement
Glass: 32.5 by 1.2mm thick (the original 32.0 didn't fit due to severe wood movement at later stages of construction, so thanks for the Watch Doctors once again who saved my day)
Buckle/clasp: double safe side deployed 24mm buckle
screws used: M1.2 * 5.5mm
Special thanks to my classmate Eason for helping me out on this project, or else it would be impossible to be done in eight days (which spanned over the course of a month, due to school and other work). The song of the piano is qing tian and it was played by Eason as well.
Plans available on Patreon.
