However, Jaya was not amused and lashed out the media, "Aishwarya kya hota hai? Is she your school friend?"

However, she lost her temper while leaving the function, because of the paparazzi clicking away. "Abhi aap log itna flash maarenge, toh mai kaise dekhungi?" she snapped, causing the photographers to immediately apologise and withdraw.

Jaya Bachchan pushed the microphone away and hit out at a reporter who asked her about the Union Budget at an event in 2011. She was irked by the fact that the journalist was "asking a political question" at an unrelated event.

At Esha Deol's godh bharai ceremony in 2017, Jaya Bachchan schooled a priest for trying to capture celebrities on camera. Reportedly, someone from the pandit ji's team was busy clicking a selfie, which earned him a scolding. "Aap puja mein dhyan dijiye," she curtly said.
