Vintage Air Compressor

Here is a cool vintage air compressor my dad will be using to paint his sailboat, a 30 foot trimaran. It has a big General Electric single-phase 2hp motor. The pump is a two stage (cylinder) reciprocating type. I am not sure how many gallons the tank is, This compressor is unique in the way it controls the pressure in the tank. Most compressors have a cut-out switch that shuts off the motor when the tank is full. This one uses a blow-off valve on the pump that opens when the tank is full and vents the pump air to the atmosphere. When the tank pressure drops (leakage, air being used), the valve closes and allows the pump to refill the tank.
