Asthi Dhatu, Gond Laddu | अस्थि धातु -डिंक लाडु
Asthi i.e. bone tissue is responsible for many functions in the body like movement , locomotion , protection , framing etc. video includes recipes to nourish this tissue.
Poppy seeds porridge- खसखस खीर
Time - 10 min excluding soaking time.
Age - 8 months and above , especially for bone nourishment in pregnancy too.
Frequency - 1-2 times a week.
Quantity- as per liking
Ingredient -
1.5 -cup milk दूध
2 tsp- Poppy seeds खसखस
1.5 tsp - grated jaggery गुड
Procedure -
Soak poppy seeds in enough milk for 3-4 hrs.
Grind it in a small chutney jar in fine paste. Add little milk if necessary.
Put remaining milk for boiling.
Add poppy seeds paste to it.
Once it starts boiling add jaggery.
Boil for 3-4 min on low flame.
गोंद के लड्डू / डिंक लाडु / Gum laddus
Ingredient
For making 20 laddus
घी Ghee 30 gms
गोंद- डिंक - Gum 25 g
खारिक dry dates powder 50 gms
खसखस poppy seeds 35 gms
बादाम almonds 50 gms
काजू cashew nuts 50 gms
पिस्ता pistachio 25 gms
चारोलि almondette seeds 25 gms
गोडांबी भीलावा बीज Semecarpus Anacardium 25 gms
For syrup / चाशनी
गुड jaggery 150 gms
शक्कर sugar 50 gms
दूध cow milk 1/2 cup
Spices
सौंठ / सुंठ dry ginger powder 9 gms or 1.5 tsp
जाइफल पाउडर पुड nutmeg powder 1 gm or 1/2 tsp
केसरsaffron powder 2-3 pinch or 10-12 strands
Time -40 min
Age - 6 months and above
Frequency- daily or as per liking
Quantity- as per liking
Procedure -
Roast all the dry fruits on low flame and grind it to a coarse powder.
Heat ghee in an iron kadai and fry gum on low flame.
Once the frying finishes. Roast dry dates powder in the same ghee on low flame for 1 min.
Tip- this whole process of roasting dry fruits and frying can be done in the same kadai. No need of washing or using different pans.
Lightly crush the fried gum. Mix all the dry ingredient including spices.
Put a heavy bottom brass pot on low flame.
Add half cup hot milk followed by sugar and jaggery.
Bring to a boil to make syrup.
Remove the pot from gas.
Add the mixture and mix properly. Wait till it cools down to a level where you can touch it and roll small balls.
Store in a steel / glass container.
