The device I show in this video has the purpose of holding a steering-wheel to ease the hand sewing procedure for a steering-wheel cover.
All of these devices have the same intention that is hold the wheel while the leather artisan hand sews the cover edges.
It is a useful item, but not extremely important to perform the craft.
