Scared of changing into fifth gear dual carriageways

When changing gears on any road, remember to relax first. There is no rush to complete the gear change.

Place your hand on the gear stick first and balance the steering wheel to ensure there is no jerking of the steering. The last thing you want is to swerve across the road at high speeds. Accelerate to a comfortable speed and release the gas pedal, press the clutch and select the gear you require and release the clutch and then press the gas pedal to maintain your speed.

1st gear=10-15mph
2nd gear=15-20mph
3rd gear=20-30mph
4th gear=30-40mph
5th gear=40+mph

if you have a 6th gear then 55+mph
