Fratelli Italian Restaurant

A 48 second video of Fratelli Italian restaurant in Oldsmar FL (suburb of Tampa). Fratelli's is a small, little hole in the wall ma and pa Italian restaurant owned by Dominick Fratelli and his wife. They came to FL from Brooklyn in the 1950s and opened this restaurant, using their family recipes. I went there with Teri, and we were there for 2 hours and it was the most enjoyable meal! It was a Saturday night, but it wasn't busy at all. It was quiet, there were a couple other tables there too eating and drinking wine. The food was superb, totally fresh cooked. We started with an appetizer, sausage stuffed mushrooms. DELICIOUS! The mushrooms were stuffed with totally home made sausage, and sauteed in olive oil, and the bottom of the serving plate was covered in a thin coating of sizzling garlic infused olive oil, which was delicious to mop up the mushrooms with. And they were topped off with some melted fresh mozzarella cheese. The meal came with loaves of warm Italian bread, and you also get your choice of soup or salad. Since all their soups are home made, both Teri and I chose Italian wedding soup which was delicious. I got the chicken Francese, and Teri got chicken parm. You get pasta with it, and we both chose fettucini for our pasta, with alfredo sauce over the pasta. The alfredo sauce was rich, and completely home made, I could taste the fresh cream, parmesan cheese, and herbs. The chicken francese was so lemony and delicious. We both got a slice of lemoncello for desert and OH MY GOSH was it good!
