A world-renowned expert in flow-induced underwater vibration, Kim Vandiver is also founder and director of the Edgerton Center and director of the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) at MIT. He is a lifelong advocate for experiential learning and was named the 2001 Margaret MacVicar Faculty Fellow for excellence in teaching.
