Strengthening Community Resilience in Zimbabwe with ARC Replica

In 2024, Start Network received $8.9 million payout through the ARC (African Risk Capacity) Replica programme to respond to drought in Zimbabwe—supporting over 180,000 people with early action.

In drought-prone Zimbabwe, support at the right time maintains communities' access to food, reduces harmful coping measures such as child labor, and keeps communities resilient and united.

🎥 Watch how timely action made a difference for the communities.

African Risk Capacity (ARC) group offers African Union member states macro-insurance premiums that pay out to governments in the event of crisis. Through the ARC Replica programme, Start Network and other non- governmental organisations can work alongside governments to strengthen national response systems.
