Rattling noisy accordion grill coupler switches fix workaround

I'm not a professional, but I've made DIY repair on my accordions for 10 years. I love my Weltmeister Rubin, but the coupler switches vibrated and rattled (an issue I've had on other small Weltmeisters). This is an fairly easy fix.

The problem comes from the complex coupler switch mechanism which has lots of metal on metal and plastic on metal parts. It's hard to get these set perfectly so nothing has any play. By threading 'sewing elastic' through certain sections, it's possible to introduce some tension which can stop the play (and the rattles). It will depend on the exact machanism, and where the rattling originates, but I think this general technique could be applied in many cases.
I'd guess a professional repair job would might involve fitting rubber washers, but this should do the same thing. I'd guess this fix could last many years, but worth checking after some usage. If the repair failed (ie elastic snapped, I wouldn't be too worried about adverse effects, at worst I think the rattles might reappear.
