CBI Director selection has sparked a fresh political controversy after Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi submitted a formal note of dissent during the high-level selection committee meeting held at the Prime Minister’s residence.

Rahul Gandhi alleged that the process was biased and claimed that crucial documents related to shortlisted candidates were not shared transparently. He stated that the “Leader of Opposition is not a rubber stamp” and refused to endorse what he called a “pre-decided process.”
