Royal Enfield Himalayan in Moab, Utah (Beginner Rider)

You don't need an expensive bike and years of riding experience to have fun on two wheels. The owner, Josh, purchased his Himalayan for under $4,000 with very few miles on it. What a deal! With very little riding experience on-road and none off-road, Josh was able to wield his Himalayan through deep sand, over small ledges, and through 60+ water crossings during his 4 days in Moab, Utah. Just goes to show that even the simplest of motorcycles are still very capable off-road machines.

The only thing that I recommend doing to your Himalayan if you will be using it off-road is to remove your center stand. It has a tendency to think it's a skid plate. Another is to double check your brake lines for kinks. Our riding group had just gotten back to our campsite when we noticed the Himalayan's brake line was severed almost completely due to a kink in the line. With enough fork compressions, the kink turned into a crease, then a tear in the line. Luckily, brake pressure held out until we arrived at camp.
