Cooking Wild Melon in my Homeland | Feeding My Calf | Sowing Millet

There are a lot of things I love about our mom but the one I appreciate about the most is the way she brought us up. She taught us how to diligently work, to properly work our Mahangu fields, to honour God with our work and harvest. Today, she reminded me of how she has managed to take care and provide for her family over the decades.

We are reworking the fields because 1) The rains were bad but also believes we (mostly the younger ones) didn't do that a great job when we sowed the first time. 2) On the the day we sowed the first time, she cautioned that we wait until the sand dries first before putting seed to ground (we didn't). I have learned my lesson: DO NOT sow right behind the tractor, wait at least 2 hours after ploughing, then starting sowing.
