Here I am showing how to grow Hydrangeas (otherwise known as Hortensia) in containers, these are beautiful plants and look great in containers, pots or in the ground. Aim for around 6-7 PH on average but adjusting the PH can change the colour of the flowers. They require regular watering and display a fantastic colour. The growing medium I am using is garden soil, multipurpose compost, vegetable compost and some wood ash. The Hydrangea in question was given to myself so I am unaware what variety it is, it has spent its first year or so in a rather small pot which I show on the video. I am hoping for success with this specimen. Use the biggest pot possible, 16 inches wide and 18 inches deep would be a good minimum size but if you don’t have a large pot and don’t have access to one, a small pot is better than to not grow a plant at all. I Believe these are great to grow in containers and if you do not have a large growing space, you can still have beautiful colour by growing in containers. How to grow Hydrangea in a pot.
