The Band of the Household Cavalry Dismounted at Changing of the Queen's Guard, 7 June 2015.
The Band of the Household Cavalry was formed in 2014 when the Band of The Life Guards and the Band of The Blues and Royals were amalgamated. Often seen Mounted, and wearing gold State Coats and dark blue velvets jockey caps when a senior member of the Royal Family is present, they also regularly perform Dismounted as seen in this video.
They accompanied the New Guard, on this day found by 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards, from Wellington Barracks to Buckingham Palace. After the Changing of The Queen's Guard ceremony they accompanied the Old Guard, on this day found by 1st battalion Welsh Guards, from Buckingham Palace to Wellington Barracks.
As usual, their musicianship was superb.
