This song was inspired by knowing many people in my life who have either lost their father at a young age, or have grown up without a fatherly figure. I tried to create a story that leaves it open ended to the listener to plug in their own unique experience that relates to the story and emotion this song brings. Everyone has experienced loss in their life, whether it’s a family member, close friend, etc. And this is the story of a boy who lost his father suddenly at a young age. He's reminiscing the memories he had with him, but bringing out the struggles and hardships growing up without him.
