Bill Lawrence, creator of Scrubs, Ted Lasso, Shrinking, Cougar Town, Sent Me a Surprise Video?! (As a Film Student!)

Back in my second year of film school in Australia, I had an assignment to interview professionals in the film/TV industry. Being a huge fan of Scrubs, Cougar Town, and Spin City, I took a shot in the dark and tweeted Bill Lawrence.

Instead of a generic response or a written reply from an assistant, Bill sent me a personal 8-minute video answering every single question for my assignment — thoughtful, funny, and incredibly generous. I was amazed. A genuinely down-to-earth and deeply considerate and kind individual in Hollywood.
