Salon Owner Business Tips | Top 3 Tips For Building A Successful Salon

In this video, I am going to share my top business tips for any salon owner wanting to take their business to the next level.

I remember wishing my salon coach would just tell me what steps to take to get from point A to B. Looking back now I am so glad they didn’t. Today I’m NOT going to share the exact steps you need to take either HOWEVER I am going to share my top 3 business tips for being a successful salon owner.

Tip #1: WORK ON YOUR BUSINESS
As a salon owner, it can be challenging to find the time to work on your business. This is not because you don’t want to work on your business however you are doing so many things wages, team management, marketing, dealing with reps, salon finances etc. That’s on top of being a partner, parent, sibling etc. So how exactly are you supposed to find the time?

The key is to SCHEDULE the time to work on your business, however, it’s important that you go into that time focused and with intention.
Tip #2: CREATE A 12 MONTH MARKETING CALENDAR | MEASURE THE RESULTS
Marketing can be one of the most overlooked fundamentals for a salon owner and nine times out of ten it’s not because they don’t want to it can be seen to be “too hard”

Building a 12-month calendar can be one of the best things you do for your salon and is going to help you forecast and create more freedom.
Tip #3: BECOME A LEADER
Becoming a leader takes work, it takes a desire to be better than you were yesterday and in turn creating a team that was better than yesterday.

At the end of the day, you get to choose if you want to be a Manager or a Leader.

What I will say if your team members are not performing or living up to your expectations before you start complaining and blaming them. Take the time to see if you are being a Leader or a Manager in that situation.
