In Conversation: Frank Gehry and Kurt Forster

Iconic architect Frank Gehry and renowned architectural historian Kurt W. Forster explore architectural differences and similarities between sister-cities Berlin and Los Angeles on the occasion of the exhibition "Berlin/Los Angeles: Space for Music," on view at the Getty Research Institute from April 25 to July 30, 2017.

Frank Gehry has designed many noteworthy buildings around the world, including Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, and the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris.

Kurt W. Forster is a professor of history of architecture at the Yale School of Architecture. In 1984, he became the founding director of the Getty Center's History of Art and the Humanities, now the Getty Research Institute.
