A 5 Minute Introduction to 2 Thessalonians

In this video I provide for you a brief introduction to Paul's second letter to the believers in the city of Thessalonica.

*AUTHOR
Paul writes this letter along with Silas and Timothy (see 2 Thessalonians 1:1).

*AUDIENCE
The believers in the city of Thessalonica were going through suffering and hardship (see 1:4-7; 2:13-17; 3:3-6). But they were also confused about the return of Christ.

*DATE
2 Thessalonians was written in A.D. 52 while Paul was in Corinth (see Acts 18:1-7). It was written shortly after 1 Thessalonians.

Don’t believe them, even if they claim to have had a spiritual vision, a revelation, or a letter supposedly from us." (2 Thessalonians 2:1-2, NLT)
